Focusing on a number of Irish writers who spent part of their careers in Paris this issue includes essays on John Montague, Richard Murphy, Thomas MacGreevy and J.M. Synge as well as an excerpt from Adrian Frazier’s recently published biography of John Montague. Photographer John Minihan (famous for his many portraits of Samuel Beckett) is the subject of an in-depth interview. Book reviews include Dr. Eoin O’Brien’s memoir, A Life in Medicine: From Asclepius to Beckett and Mary O’Malley’s new collection, The Shark Nursery.
