The fall/winter 2023 issue of Reading Ireland focuses on a number of Irish female writers: Novelists Molley Keane, Jennifer Johnston and Claire Keegan, and poets Leland Bardwell, Eavan Boland and Paula Meehan. Highlights include an interview with Jennifer Johnston and a new short story by playwright and fiction writer Jaki McCarrick. Charlotte Headrick’s obituary of Patricia Burke Brogan (1932-2022), concludes this issue.
