Issue 9 of Reading Ireland, which focuses on writers from the Province of Ulster, includes interviews with Eugene McCabe, Frank Ormsby, and 2018 Man Booker prize winner Anna Burns, along with critical essays on Michael Longley, Paul Muldoon, Derek Mahon, Sinead Morrissey, Medbh McGuckian, Colette Bryce, Bernard MacLaverty, Patrick Kavanagh and Brian Moore. Also included are book reviews on works by Gerald Dawe, Leonita Flynn, Stefán Hanvey, and Réamonn Ó Ciaráin.  A profile of Dr. Maurice Hayes (1927-2017) and translations of two Kavanagh poems by Irish language poet Caitríona Ní Chléirchín round out the contents.
